Lincoln has three distinctly different trails.
- The longest of our trails is a part of the Trans Canada/Sentier NB Trails network. Sentier Lincoln Trail is 12 km long and runs from Downtown Fredericton to Oromocto. This trail winds through forest, over the Oromocto River, past bogs and is level, well packed and suitable for walkers, bikers, and strollers with larger tires.
- The Lincoln Lions Club have a well maintained trail that runs along the Saint John River to the marina in Oromocto. Beautiful views of the river are available all along the route and the trail is well forested. In the winter time the trail is groomed for walking. This section of trail is accessible at the end of Thatch Road, by the public boat launch.
- Our newest trail system is located behind the Lincoln Elementary Community School. This is our shortest trail but is very unique. The trail winds through field/forest to a protected wetland. All sorts of birds and wildlife can be spotted here, including the Indigo Bunting and the Tiger Swallowtail. The school has done a great job on the trail while partnering with the Nature Conservancy of Canada who own a section of land adjacent to the school.
The trails that are part of the Sentier NB Trails network and at the school are for non-motorized use and we ask everyone to respect these laws.
